400 years of rug-making tradition meet the needs of modern homes and workspaces
Handwoven
For more than 35 years, InnerAsia’s master weavers in Tibet and Nepal have created beautiful hand knotted Tibetan rugs in a wide range of traditional and contemporary designs. Known for their brilliant interplay of color and design, our rugs are woven out of the long fibered wool of Tibetan Highland sheep that is luxurious to the touch and prized for its durability. Because we oversee every step of the process, we guarantee the highest quality in all our rugs and are happy to make your rug in the exact size, color and design you need.
Machine Woven
InnerAsia’s Machine Woven rugs combine the artistry and tradition of Tibet's Handwoven heritage with innovative technology. Our Machine woven Tibetan rugs draw upon the latest in machine loom technology while while preserving the detail and charm of Handwoven Tibetan rugs at a more affordable cost.
Oversized Rugs
These irreplaceable rugs were woven by our most skilled weavers at our weaving center, Khawachen, in Lhasa.
Antique Tibetan Furniture
A prized and rare collection of
16-19th century hand painted chests, ritual tables and cabinets that once graced Tibet’s great monasteries and private homes. Rich in meaning, history and beauty, these pieces of antique furniture reflect the skill of Tibetan craftsmanship in hand worked wood, leather and metal work of the 16-19th centuries and a rare glimpse into Tibet’s rich artistic and crafts tradition.
It’s hard to describe the complexity of reproducing a 19th century Arts and Crafts rug, but InnerAsia knew exactly how to do it. Every step of the way; from the first computer renderings of the historic design, thru several strike-offs for color and content to the final step of beautiful handcrafted weaving, Inner Asia made the custom process seem almost “scientific”. All of this was accomplished in a rigorous timeframe. Custom
rug experiences should always be so seamless!
Thank you for the prompt and wonderful service. Amazing!! Our customer loved it.
Thank you so much.
InnerAsia worked with me on four new rug designs and each turned out perfectly. Even though I was literally miles, oceans and continents away from the weavers, who made
the rugs, InnerAsia made it easy. They provided woven color samples, so I had the exact colors to choose from at my fingertips. Their weavers successfully transferred my designs and used my color specifications to artistically place the new design into the dimensions I needed and when the finished rugs arrived, they were perfect! InnerAsia executed my design on the very first try, every time.
“What a difference our beautiful Tibetan rugs make to the look and feel of the living room. We have now taken to having our morning coffee there so we can enjoy the beauty of the room while listening to the waterfalls and reading the news.”
